Last Minute Travel: SuperBowl XLII-2008

NY Giants vs. New England Patriots do you know who you’re going for? Do you even care? Did you know that the SuperBowl was this weekend February 1-3, 2008? If you need to make last minute plans simply to be around the festivities…DIVA Let’s GO!

It’s never too late to make a weekend getaway. Phoenix, AZ may be on the other side of the world OR right outside your front door, who knows! But if I were planning to attend the festivites in Phoenix THIS weekend…this is what I would do… (This will NOT be a cheap last minute trip, but I can get you there.)

AIRLINE TICKETS
Hotwire has a special from the Midwest for $384
That price is for travel Friday, February 1st - Sunday, February 3rd
Kayak also has some plane tickets starting at $598 if you want to stay through the Sunday night celebrations.

ACCOMODATIONS
The Game will be at the University of Phoenix stadium in Glendale, AZ. Hotels in that area are starting around $216 and thats the Comfort Suites (2 1/2 stars). Remembering that we focus on traveling inexpensively but comfortably my suggestion is:
Comfort Suites Peoria (2 1/2 stars about 8 miles from the action)

GROUND TRANSPORTATION
This is not NYC, New Orleans, or Chicago you WILL need a rental…and sorry, but no matter what site you go to Economy Class is starting at about $72 per day.

If you are a member of AAA you can get that rental for about $62 per day.
