A dummy tried to blow up a Northwest Airlines jet landing in Detroit early this Christmas Morning. He says he was on direct orders from al-Qaida. A Nigerian passenger was able to stop the dummy’s attempt. Thank Goodness for Heroic People!

Correction – The dummy was a known terrorist from Nigeria named Abdul Mudallad. In the end he had 3rd degree burns and no one else on the flight was harmed. More here.

New TSA Directives following the terrorist attempt.
You can read more at the link below but the most important things are:
1) All passnegers must be searched at the gate before boarding the plane concentrating on torso and upper legs.
2) Passengers can not use the lavatory on the last 60 minutes before landing in the U.S.
3) The last 60 minutes of the flight you can not have any blankets, pillows, etc on your lap.
Like WHOA!
